After Orfield Design

The full guest/general bath was on the interior of the home off the main hallway, with the tiny ¾ master bathroom behind it. We gutted both these baths, removed the wall between & captured the space from the old master bath to use for the remodeled guest general bath. Now this room actually has natural light, an operable window (fresh air), a quiet bath fan with light/night-light feature, white linen glass vanity light & recessed lighting. Taking this room from drab to fab!

Galvanized piping was removed, popcorn ceilings were laminated over smooth, & new sub-floor was installed. New insulation was put on exterior & interior walls of this bathroom to meet current code & most importantly deadened sound for the occupants’ privacy.

Calm Grey Crotone floor tile in a staggered pattern allow the eye to appreciate the Smokey Glass tile border used as the vanity back & side splashes as well as used horizontally around the top of the acrylic soaking tub/shower alcove unit.

The original stained door, window & millwork was painted a soft white & hardware changed to brushed nickel. The new 36" white bathroom vanity with Carrera Marble countertop & mirrored medicine cabinet work in harmony with all the other changes for a minimalist approach to this rejuvenation!
