Orfield Design and Construction, Inc. Wins National Remodeling Award
The 2004 Chrysalis Awards were presented on June 11th in Atlanta, Georgia with Edina’s Orfield Design and Construction winning the award for Best Kitchen Remodel. The winners were selected from over 549 entries from 50 states and judged on overall design, creative use of space and materials and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure of the home.
Judges were the editors of Better Homes & Gardens, Women’s Day Special Interest Publications, Southern Living, Sunset and ArchitectureWeek.com. The Chrysalis Awards program recognizes the nation’s best remodeling work in four regional competitions that encompass the entire United States.

The clients, the Tights of Minneapolis, are very happy in their newly remodeled kitchen. “Orfield Design and Construction did a marvelous job of turning our kitchen into something that was not only beautiful, but also very functional and caters to our needs beautifully. Everything is great– the cabinets, the skylight, the island, the breakfast nook with its lift-up storage benches…. it all works really well and maneuvering around the kitchen has been very easy. Our family lives in this kitchen.”
