Summary :

This home was given much needed room by building a seamless family room, mudroom, breakfast area, kitchen remodel and master suite addition over a full  basement. As part of this project, the client requested some sort of definition to the existing ramblers non-descript entrance. As we could not get a variance from the city to do anything more, a strong entrance was subtly created by respectfully maintaining this homes original low, horizontal roof lines on the new entrance overhang with tapered columns, wider stoop, stairs and cement walkway.

We took this 1950’s Edina rambler and gave it some much needed room by building a seamless family room, eating area, mudroom and master suite addition over a newly fully excavated basement along with a kitchen remodel.

This master suite addition has a large walk-in closet and the homes existing wood floors were tied into the new red oak select hardwood flooring shown above. A set of handcrafted Cherry mirrors hang over the custom vanity topped by Beacon Brown Cambria countertops with under-mount American Ovalyn sinks.
