Lower Level
Home Location : Minneapolis, MN
Home Built : 1922

Summary :

This lower level was full of awkward spaces and configurations and the existing structural posts and mechanical piping created a design challenge. But, with a few modifications and improvements this became a great space!

We started by moving the electrical panel out of the bathroom (per code) and into the laundry room. Throughout the lower level, additional boiler heat piping had to be run to the various rooms and then all exposed piping was framed and covered with either sheetrock or acoustic ceiling tile.

The main family room was improved with the installation of glass block windows, leveling of the floor and installation of Gold Mine Kult Marmoleum flooring, new paint, casing, trim and recessed lighting.

The Laundry room floor and steps were also leveled and tiled and pipes were framed and sheet rocked to create a much more attractive room. All the concrete floors were leveled and Kate-Lo Gold Mine Series tile was laid in the Bathroom and Laundry.
