Summary :

Orfield converted a 2 season porch into a 4 season room with a vaulted ceiling. The new Velux skylights are wrapped with finger-jointed and beaded ceiling board, which cleverly ties the ceiling with the room’s wainscot. The oak wrapped ceiling beams were designed with troughs that house incandescent light strips, creating soft up-lighting reflection on the vaulted ceiling. French terrace doors and double-hung windows by Marvin were installed to provide the room with security, additional insulation from the elements, and a pleasant view of their expansive back yard. The flooring is Bombay Slate Thorntree with tilt-down Slate transition thresholds.
