Scope & Objectives :

Craftsmanship is displayed throughout the bathroom. Besides the beautiful cabinetry, one more subtle example is that the new glass block window sits flush with the sheetrock creating a seamless transition. This glass block window improved the aesthetics of both the interior and exterior.

We removed the old flush door on the existing linen/attic access closet and converted the lower portion to a tiled seat. This would allow our client to sit and dry her daughter off after a bath, as well as have immediate access to hair care products and necessities with the linen above and upper and lower cherry cabinets immediately in front. Regarding this our client wrote, “We had an awkward closet in our bathroom and you designed a great storage space for us.”

Instead of installing a “boring” traditional vanity we designed a raised vanity on legs, rounded the vanity sink section, and then mixed the wood on all the cabinets, including the custom mirror over the vanity. This client’s desire was for a lot of storage space, which we attractively addressed with handcrafted cherry cabinets edged with maple face frames reminiscent of an art deco design.

The curved vanity top is mirrored in the new Autumn Leaf Granite countertop and custom splash.

The client’s trust in our design ability, and open mind, resulted in a personalized bathroom that still maintains strong form and function.
