We love our space!  We hardly ever eat out and when we are out of town we can’t wait to get home.

Scope & Objectives :

Removing walls throughout the main level, and adding a new steel support post, allowed an open floor plan that is modern & multi-functional.  To start, the front foyer double doors were replaced with a new set containing glass art details that make a dramatic first impression for the entry.

One center wood burning fireplace existed in the space. The Living Room side was sheetrock with a traditional mantle and the Dining Room side was all brick to the vaulted beam ceiling. We removed all the sheetrock and added new bricks on the Living Room side to the ceiling. Then two back-to back gas fireplace inserts were mounted with flat screen T.V.s over them on swivel brackets allow viewing from any area.  A cavity was discovered on the Living Room side and we captured that opening to make a recessed audio/visual control glass cabinet. The brick was mirrored on the new Kitchen backsplash, on the full Garage entry wall, and on the Bar backsplash.

New wood floors with a custom grey stain mix replaced the carpeting. Since entertaining is very important to these homeowners, the layout of the custom cabinetry, along with the long Cambria Kitchen island, and additional Formica FX180 peninsula bar seating make this a joy.

In addition to the above, we remodeled the General Bathroom, installing a deep soaking tub with personalized tile patterned shower surround. The small 1” multi-colored tiles were carried through to frame the commercial mirror above the vanity. All new plumbing fixtures, including a TOTO Washlet seat (heated & spray), custom cabinetry, “wood plank” floor tile, and Carrera marble countertops make this bathroom a show-stopper.

Other alterations included audio/visual, dimmable lighting, custom Hunter Douglas window treatments, assorted pieces of new furniture, painting, and replacing the door handle hardware throughout the home. In the Master Bedroom a small window with a lovely view to the backyard was replaced by a large bow window that makes this room feel twice the size.

This transformation makes the homes’ ambiance suited to any occasion!
