In keeping with the Southwestern style that this client desired, this master bath received a rustic makeover. The log beam ceiling with wood installed in a herringbone design is just one of the interesting features of this home. The pine shutters, although new, were sandblasted to make them look authentically aged.
Detailed tile work was done throughout. The zigzag design that divides the sink area from the two-person shower mimics the design of the inset border design in the shower and tub areas. Between the log ceiling beams, wood strips were installed in a herringbone pattern to provide interest and tie in with the custom-made, varnished natural pine cabinetry.
