After Orfield Design

This retired couple were so pleased with the bathroom remodel we designed and constructed for their basement a few years ago that when they decided to refresh their dated first floor general bathroom, they knew just who to call!

In this case we gutted most of the room, changing the rough plumbing to accept new fixtures, installed structural backing for grab bars, removed wallpaper and skimmed the walls as needed. The new American Standard deep soaking tub and the subtle porcelain tile wall surround with a hand-shower assembly provide nice-looking universal accessibility. For additional storage inside the bathroom, we bumped into part of a nearby rooms’ closet and installed a custom maple linen cabinet to match the new vanity and mirror. Electrical updates such as new wall sconces and recessed shower light, along with a “minty-fresh” coat of paint on the walls and new white paint on the old dark woodwork made simple ways that cheer up any user!

When surveyed at project end, they wrote that Orfield Design was “outstanding in all areas” and “would recommend us” adding “A+++. I’m in love with the workmen. We went with Orfield vs. the competition because we knew the work would be good.”
